4th XV

Kowloon Beavers are Kowloon's 4th team, playing in the 5th Division, and as befits a team made up of old knackers and new young 'uns, the team plays social rugby competitively.

The last three years have been relatively successful, with a win in the Division five plate final, followed the next year by securing a win in the bowl final and culminating last season with the Division Five league title and the Valley 15's trophy.

This year we welcome back all the old faces, with our oldest player taking the field at the ripe old age of 54, closely followed by a few hitting 50 and the a whole scrum the wrong side of 40. We will miss our flying winger, Matt Farnham this season who decided a trip round the world was better fun that another season with us, however, we have a few new faces to introduce to the rigours of Division Five and hope that they can fill the boots of those who have departed these shores.

The main difference this season is that the team above us, Kowloon 3rd's in Division four will be selected on merit and this may see some excellent but seasoned players being chosen to play up should they decide to attend training.

This means that Beavers will revert to purely social rugby, with the competitive aspect taking a back seat as we seek to field the strongest teams in each of the divisions above us. Rest assured Beavers will be the fun team with everyone getting on the pitch regardless of ability and we'll seek to live up to our reputation as the most drunk people in the club.
