1 Mar, 2015 - 2nd Kowloon Community Rugby Day

community day community dfay
The second Kowloon Community Rugby day will be held on the Sunday 1st of March between 9.30am - 1pm. There will be a new format and we will be supporting the THT Minis as well as the Lions junior teams. We will also be inviting groups from Enlighten, Society for the Protection of Children, Changing Young Lives and Hands on HK. This will be a big event so we need everyone's support in giving something back. Those who attended the last event will support me in saying how wonderful it was to see so many young faces smiling and laughing with new friends and we want to reach out to more children this time and break down further barriers and perceptions around these wonderfully funny and deserving kids.
Our Premiership Team lads give pointers and demonstrate drills for the Tai Hang Tung minis before they try it out for themselves

23 Dec, 2014 - Christmas presents to local Children in dormitories

Another worthwhile cause fulfilled... Further to the recent Helping Hands Community Rugby Day on 6th Dec which saw Kowloon RFC invite and cater to children with disabilities at King's Park for a welcomed day of fun, rugby, prizes and lunch,
Jason Conlin has delivered on the Club's promise to bring the children more cheer today. This time by leading a visit to the children's dormitory and distributing over 65 Christmas gifts, making them super excited and very grateful.
Santa Clause may not be overly impressed about being beaten getting to the children first, but how could that stop us? After all, sharing with less fortunate children and making them feel care and joy over Christmas is what it's really all about...
A big Thank You Very Much! to all the volunteers that showed up and made this a success, and also a big shout out to the 9 Dragons for their sponsorship and support, we could not have done it without everyone's participation! Well Done Team! The children can not wait until our next event so join us in a show of strength for a meaningful cause in upcoming Community Projects. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas with Family, Loved Ones and Friends.

6 Dec, 2014 - Helping Hands - Abacus Kowloon RFC Community Project

A Kowloon RFC Community Project was held at King's Park on the 6th of December, 2014. Inviting and entertaining 10-15 children suffering mental and physical disability. The tragic situation with Hong Kong regarding these children is that due to their disabilities they have very few opportunities to get out of their dormitory's as there seems to be an "out of sight, out of mind" attitude towards them. They have never even been to a hotel for a buffet lunch as the hotels would rather not have their custom. This is about to change and Kowloon are going to lead the way and open our doors to this group, and many others to offer a fun packed day. It was a day to give these kids something to remember and take this opportunity to give something back to the community.

The event helped raise the student's awareness of dignity and also a sharing of how rugby had impacted our lives.

This event is one in a chain of events organized by Kowloon RFC known as the "Helping Hands Project" in which we reach out and give back to the community. Please join us! · Updated about a month ago · Taken at HK Rugby Union Club
