The club's establishment goes back to 1976 - although the boys were playing a year or two before that as a YMCA rugby team (settle down you Village Person you). Anyway, I think I'm correct in stating that the club started playing in purple. After a year or so of typical Kowloon behaviour the Young Men's Christian Association decided that Kowloon's antics were not actually compatible with their 'values' and 'mission statement' and ask the lads to find someone else to represent. In a meeting convened at Kowloon Cricket Club - date to be confirmed - Kowloon RFC was formed.
