ABOUT US

Kowloon Rugby Club was established in 1976 and remains one of the eight Premiership Rugby Clubs that competes throughout Hong Kong’s domestic leagues. The club acts as an inclusive sporting club providing rugby, netball and cricket opportunities for members from the Kowloon, Sai Kung and the New Territories districts. We pride ourselves on playing sport the "Loon Way" which translates as, Hard, Fair and Fun.

The club comprises of, 4 senior rugby teams, 2 community teams, 1 U18 Boys and 1 U18's girls teams, and 1 cricket team, all competing in local leagues across Hong Kong. Additionally, we are thrilled to see our partnership with Sai Kung Stingrays and Discovery Bay Pirates progressing and flourishing so well our U18 boys were crowned Grand Champions in the 23/24, 24/5 and 26/27 season - an awesome achievement since we only started our academy in 2019!
On a weekly basis you will see both male and female members playing either social, development or elite sport, all looking to do their best and enjoy the camaraderie and values that sport offers.

Our rugby section provides playing opportunities from quality Youth and Mini's clubs through to the elite environment. We also include a social team which is made up of Kowloon’s long serving members. Our academy system provides performance-based programs for U16/U18 youth players to continue their development into senior rugby.

Our cricket section was formed by a number of ‘mature’ rugby players who decided to gracefully swap their maroon rugby kit for cricket whites. A very social section of the club that fields a mixed gender team.
